second try with more gain and slightly different tone http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=826738&songID=11334207&showPlayer=true
It has trouble with having two instances going in every daw I've tried to use it with. Good sounding sim, though.
Did a quick session with this, I haven't had much time to mess with with the Anvil sim but I tried it with this in a mix along with the x50. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/994726/magolasse_x50.mp3 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/994726/magolasse_anvil.mp3 So far I think the Anvil would have an easier time emulating that old HM-2 sound than anything else. Bass is split into BOD/Lecto. Love that snare sound.

Hi Lasse here it's a recto with a SM57 on NOS cab : http://http://oxyde.clan.free.fr/LasseMago.mp3 Put a Comp to down a bit the Snare. Which drumhaed was used ? Plastic beatter (I think) ? Mics in and out ? Perhaps the kick should be a very little louder in the mix. Thanks to both of You to share these really nice tracks.
Hello, total noob here Anyway, had a great time with these files (thank you!) Gave it a quick try and came up with this Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated, I'm new at this and eager to learn.
Did this a while ago (originally posted in this other thread : http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/equipment/703323-no-sm57-mesa-tones-stop-limiting-yourselves.html) "My first reamp EVER (so i was kinda unsure about the levels/routings but it sounds fine for now), just used the exact settings i always use at home with my own guitar, hope you guys like it (i do): Engl SE 6L6 -> Torpedo VB-101 (Engl 412 Vintage Cab with V30's / very low speaker excursion / Blue DragonFly condenser mic dead on but a couple of inches back / Post-fx : lo-cut @103hz, EQ (Low 0; Lo-mids +2; Mid +3; Hi-mids +1; High -1), Exciter 3% @3 Khz) -> RME Fireface UC -> Reaper with just some slight EQ on guitars (HP@80hz, slight bite boost@5khz, LP@12khz), no mastering fx on the master bus : Full-mix : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15008135/othermixes_all/Djabthrash_MagoLasseDIsReampingTestv4.mp3 Guitars only : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15008135/othermixes_all/Djabthrash_MagoLasseDIsReampingTestv4_GRs.mp3 It was great to do my first reamp with such a killer material And it's crazy to hear someone else play through your amp Maybe i'm gonna post some more (different VB-101 settings (cab / speaker / variphase / mic model / mic placement / post-fx)) later." As pointed by mago and other people, maybe lacking in gain and meat a bit, and bit too hi-mid heavy.
here is mine: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17151953/musikerboard/mixes/lassemago%20reamp%206534%2Bmesa%2Bsm57.mp3 would appreciate some feedback
