A friend urged me to listen to the new Last Empire album and man was he right !!! Pure US-Metal to the bone ! For now my top 2009 album that will be hard to beat !! OK, it has them high pitch vocals some will not like, but that kinda vocals are the stuff I really liked in 80's US metal...

They approached me on MySpace but I didn't like it mostly because of the vocals.

I bought this disc and can't stop listening it! It was worth every penny just for the art work. This has to be one of the best albums I have paid for in a very long time. I hope it they have a new release soon, I just can't get enough of it!!!!!! I hope this release comes out on vinyl.

    Great band!

Their singer is (was?) singing for the reformed MALICE too ... I am interested in hearing that.

Resurrecting this thread. I only recently discovered these guys for myself. Loving it! I actually have the debut, now I need to get Heir to the Throne.

I found out about them because the singer is also singing on the new Vicious Rumors disc!

Saw last Empire about a month ago one of Brian's last gigs before heading to the Bay Area to rehearse with Vicious Rumors. They sound much better live than on thier album...

The first album was no as impressive as "Heir to the Throne". But the band is very good overall.

I wasn't very impressed by the stuff I heard a couple of years ago but the singer does an excellent job on the new Vicious Rumors album so maybe I should give them a second chance. They just sounded amateurish IIRC.
