    Thank you kindly.

One year [and a week] without cigarettes, and coming up on a month and a half without alcohol.

I just heard about Storm Corrosion [Mikael Akerfeldt and Steven Wilson], and I think it's shitty.

Anyone else think Wilson is a pretentious ass?

He IS pretentious, but his stuff is usually pretty decent. I'm curious.

I heard/watched the video for their single "Drag Ropes" and it was very much meh. I dunno, I feel like Akerfeldt and Opeth were on a pretty righteous sound path, and then Wilson came aboard for some support and production, and they've been downhill since. I think Wilson's kind of a bad influence.

The dude just gets under my skin for some reason. He tries too hard, I guess. I don't know. I remember when music used to be fun to listen to, and now people try and put so much fucking meaning into it that it's like I'm being given homework.

It becomes more fun if you try to mishear the lyrics. Steven Wilson's accent is great for that.

Haha. Yeah. I enjoyed PT's earlier albums...and then I heard Wilson speak. It forever tainted my perspective of his music. I still enjoy the early albums, but the newer ones I can't get behind because I can't enjoy them without thinking WHATTADICK.

I do recall him taking a heap of credit for Opeth's success with Blackwater Park/Deliverence/Damnation, to which I say cmonbro.

He also said this: "I think [with] the metal thing for me, the party's over. I'm kind of bored with it." I think he might be trying to steer Akerfeldt away from it, too. Well, more than he already is.
