i like the instumental song.
here are three of the main local bands in plymouth
www.myspace.com/coldread (not so local anymore, one of my favorite bands. they are a way of life in plymouth.)
www.myspace.com/scarecrowhill (their old good stuff isnt on here, the band is kind of screwed up now)
www.myspace.com/mindfedviolence (good live)
heres a GREAT band
(listen to my sweet misery)
We have nothing in our town besides some metalcore band
i couldnt live without the scene in plymouth. i only named three of the bands.
plymouth is much more of a town than people make it out to be. "oh the pilgrims landed there! plymouth rock! wow!"
just come to the mall on a friday night and see what i mean.
plymouth and metal go hand in hand
Hmm I had no idea. I'm only a few miles from Plymouth.
you are? what town?
you undoubtedly have heard of coldread.
Cookiecutter and I are from Arlington in the metro-west.
Never heard of Coldread, have you CC?
Arlington? thats pretty cool. ive pretty much lived on the south shore my whole life.
never heard of coldread? o well.
I think I'm the only metal 'listener' in my town.. let alone a metal band, although it is quite a musically enriched place.
'Rock' to most here is 'noise'.
I have not heard of Coldread, but that is mainly because I have given up on even investigating the local scene because it is plagued with hardcore and metalcore.
I'm in two metal bands, both are in planning stages. Hardcore, Post-Hardcore, and some Screamo are the majority of any of the metal bands that play around at my highschool. Everybody I know pretty much likes classical rock (Iron Maiden, Led Zepplin, Motorhead, etc, the shit that was good back then but doesn't compare now).
The area where I live is very conservative and just about the opposite of metal. No scene at all.
man. i thought it was normal.
poor, deprived people.
I have Wolves in the Throne Room, YOB and Ceremonial Castings in my local scene. And Agalloch also.
This is my friends band.
Its öööh some kind of music.:Smug:
ahhh, so you're up here in the land of bigfoot also huh?
believe it or not we do have more than just modest mouse and nirvana rip offs up here!
check out the afforementioned:
Wolves In The Throne Room
and let's not forget:
Drawn & Quartered
Book Of Black Earth
and the band that your humble narrator fronts:
the northwest has come a long way lately.
sweeeet, Drawn & Quartered
Wow kickass man.
There's a death metal from So Cal called Vulgar who plays straightforward death metal. They're not that great, but their vocalist is a woman who does a half-decent job. Only problem is...they're not playing at the moment.
