So I was thinking about getting this mic.

    http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProToolsVocalStudio.html

I'm on a terrible budget right now *gonna be moving soon* I always wanted a cheap USB mic, and I want to be able to try out pro tools without buying an M Box *future purchase* I was just wondering, if I decide to buy this mic, can I ONLY use Pro Tools to record the mic or can I record other inputs as well? (Aux, Mic in, Line in, etc)

I'm assuming the mic acts as the "interface" in this situation, and in PT you can only use inputs from whatever interface you are using, so no you wouldn't be able to use any line or aux inputs in your computer

I was thinking that.. thanks for the reply man. I don't know if using Asio4all would give me an advantage to change inputs or not, but I think I may just wait and get an interface.

Making a version of pro tools that can be sold at Toys R us is a real dick move for AVID IMO
