heh, it was actually the reverse, in that I was so exhausted I couldn't get to bed fast enough... I'm going through the pics now, deleting those that are blurry or someone else's camera or hand going up in front of mine, which happened quite a bit.

The concert itself was awesome as expected, everyone was tight and in the pocket, Bruce was spot on.. The funniest part was when Nicko cracked a bass drumhead and Bruce was giving him a bit of a hard time about it...

"How long does it take to change a bass drum?? This is 2006, for chrissakes!"

What was the vibe like from the rest of the fans there? Hearing mixed reports so far from the fans back east.

Okay here are a few of the 200+ that I have:

The vibe was okay, though you had knuckleheads shouting for the older material halfway through the set, though Bruce did take a bit of time to explain what was going on. I was on the floor, so you had the typical drunken idiots trying bum rush their way to the front, idiots slapping my arms to ruin my camera shots, and teenage kids bodysurfing and starting up pits. I kept screaming at them "This ain't 1992, assholes!!"

I had a good time though I still am not 100%. I didn't think about how physical it can get on the floor, and it got really physical at certain points. I wouldn;t have traded that experience for anything though!! :headbang: :headbang: :worship: :worship:

BTW Jenna, I can email you the complete set if you want them.

Well you got up right close and personal… You know what amazes me, it’s why are they using cables? One would think that they would be wireless, never could figure this out,;Judas Priest is wireless, and that's what I would do.

I would like to see more of your pictures of that show.

There are so many problems with wireless. Our bass player has a wireless setup and we have experienced problems with it at gigs. It sucks to be standing up there on stage waiting to start with the audience chanting and the bass player standing over his gear trying to get it working. :(

More often it is the guitar player with those 10 billion pedals and cords trying to futz and fuss with. :loco:

Last band I was in the lead guitarist, AKA Captain ego, had all kindas of gear problems but wouldn't listen to the obviously intelectually infierior bass player. My gear never failed ever and I'm a professional electronics technician. Obviously I don't know jack about electronic gear.

Back onto pictures what are the odds of getting a camera into Irvine? Should I chance it?

Looks like Janik's black strat has been re-finished, last year half the paint was missing from battle.

Did you have a hard time getting a camera into the venue, or do they allow it there (Detroit)? I'd like to bring my camera to Irvine, but I know they don't allow it.

I would love that, thank you very much!!! I cannot wait for my shows in December - really hoping I can get nearer the front this time. Was 3 from the front last time so I'm hoping to go a few rows better!!!

That was interesting, because they all had wireless to begin with.

I got about 5 rows from the front, and my Sony digicam was pretty close to top of the line a year ago.... I took several experimental pics during Bullet for My Valentine, and I finally got the right settings and zoom. The hardest thing was getting good pics of Dave, but I got a few.. time to switch computers!

And now that I have, feast thine eyes upon these:

    And still more:

Of course that looks like Janick is looking right at me or more honestly, my cam, because I had to hold it way the hell above my head to get the shots to come out right..

Ugh, there are way too many pics to throw them all onto photobucket...

BTW, I think its more up to the band or promoters than the venue to allow or disallow cameras. I emptied my pockets for them and security saw the cam and said not a word... I was sweating it a little bit to be honest.
