I'm sure it will be a fantastic show, regardless. I can't wait.
Will be good to have you there Anwar this time!
I'm working on Saturday, so will try to kill time between then and the gig to avoid having to go home. Or I could go to the footy first.
This gig will slay.
Is anyone going to this gig with 3 and willing to have me call them when LORD play? I've still got a bunch of free 3-3 calls left haha.
Haha yes I'm on Three. Ability to call me depends on my battery life though!
Lol, likewise, and the reception I'll have in Bright.
Well have fun all. I'm off for the weekend.
Andy if you're at the merch table and happen to speak to Rob from Winterstorm (vox) please sell him a non-red stubby holder for me. Thanks.
Tomorrow! Can't wait
Hopefully, they arrive there in time...........
That they did, only just haha.
I'm glad Ichanged my plans for the weekend and went to this gig. It was great. Decent sound, good sized crowd and a fun performance with a classic set list.
That must have been so close!
I really like the sound at the Corner Hotel, that's excellent that a good number of people braved the crappy weather!
Well done guys for making it in time, how on earth did you get Furtner out of the airport pub? ROFL!
Yep enjoyed the gig muchly!!! To echo Nebulous thoughts, good sound & good croud to boot. Thanks & well done guys on getting there under the circumstances
Great turn out and good sound. Thanks to all the bands who played. It was a great gig...minus the gay weather and the odd fuck up or three. The only let down for me was the lighting for LORD. Better than nothing I guess.
I took over 750 shots, so it may take me awhile to go through them all. Here are just some.
I didn't get to photograph Dreadnaught as I was helping Damo set his kit up. I'm sure Scott and Jess took a heap though.
Haha! Ned Kelly.
More coming later.
A HUGE thanks to everyone that came despite the storms. It really couldn't have been worse timing, but those that did came made the night worth the effort. And a big thanks to Lord as well for going through so much trouble to come down here, much appreciated!
COCAINE'S A HELL OF A DRUG!
Frankenbok dudes = awesome.
Can't wait to see more of the photos Anwar!
But yeah... what a SHIT FIGHT getting to Melbourne, we almost had to cancel completely but Jetstar saved our arse at the eleventh hour. So happy we made it down as it was a great show, good turn out (considering the elements outside!), and great vibe all 'round.
Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come, Mitch and co for putting it all on (hopefully you raised a little bit of money!), to everyone who took photos, and everyone who just went nuts for us. Means everything
Well, next time you can use their screwy mislabelled lighting desk, and I can take the photo's. It's not the easiest task.
I didn't mean any disrespect. I didn't realise you were unfamiliar with the venue's lighting arrangements. If I did it, I'd probably just blind everyone by flooding the stage with lights. haha!
None taken! I was pointing out how stupid it was. There was no lights pointed at Damo at all. Most of the lights werent pointed at certain parts of the stage, half the faders did nothing and were mislabelled. Plus it was mostly green. There were two faders dedicated to blue, one to red, one to purple, and about eight to green. I finally figured out where everything was by I am death, but it was too late. -_______________-
