Hi all, I'm new here, I've just registered, and introduced myself in the who's who.
here's a mix I'm working on, it's a self produced project, everything was recorded in my "bedroom studio", which basically is a PC, a cheap mic preamp and a SM57+my guitar gear. Comments welcomed :)

I do have a newbvie question regarding dithering  I exported my song from SONAR in 24 bits. Now, in Wavelab, how can I render to have a 16 bit file, using dithering ? Because actually, it's in the "save as" procedure that I convert 24 bits=>16 bits, and the dithering is not involved in this process.

This sounds rather good actually.. You got all the instruments clean and nicely separated in the mix!

EDIT: It sounds a lot like the band Vanden Plas!

Yeah we're often compared to Vanden Plas : the voice of our singer, the way we blend prog and metal... Thanks for your comments :headbang:

And this is the same part before mastering. I tend to mix like this (probably not enough highs, too much low mids) because of my hifi speakers, they're not proper studio monitors. Now if someone want to do a quick mastering with it, it would help a poor self taught "sound engineer" lost in a tropical island where everyone play and record ragga or reggae music ;)
