I'll start of by saying , thank you to the Sanigav guys for once again organising the best day of the year .

    Highlights

CAPTAIN fucking CLEANOFF - have not skanked like that since I was a young fella , it fucked me for the rest of the day though .

Pod People - played their best show in years , even B-rad was animated .

LOG - one of the sets of the day , great to see so many people checking them out so early , if they had of played later in the day they would blown a lot of people away . Also way to early in the day to see a man in a leotard .

Astriaal - mind blowing , best I've seen them

Gospel of the Horns - I was not a fan of these guys but after their live performance , I will be checking them out .

Alchemist - great return to form from the masters , their best show in memory.

FID - always great , unfortunately used up to much mosh power during Cleanoff .

Mindsnare were great as well , could of done without the windup karate dickheads though.

Other bands I saw briefly who were good , Pyscroptic , Infernal , Hobbs(such catchy riffs) , Forte .

Bands I missed that I wanted to see , (Destroyer , KFS , Dungeon , Flesh Mechanic )

Funny moments during the day ,

.large bloke air drumming near mixing desk for most of Astriaal's set .

    > two lads passed out in their ute at about 4pm in the arvo and then seeing them recover have a bbq on the back of their ute around 8 to make it back in .

    > the guy in the cape and the chain mail .

    > three young fellas with new looking denim jackets with about 6 patches between them.

Finally meeting the QLD hordes at the after party , Hexx , Feanor , Blacktalon .

Briefly meeting Stuntbum and having the pleasure of Raped with a jackhammers company for the weekend.

Wish I had of got to meet more of you .

Only 12 months to the next one .

I was a fella in a sleveless Brutal Truth shirt, I missed Cleanoff though. Fuck that was an awesome day, I missed most people I wanted to see actually. Spending to much time in the carpark drinking beer is adivisible, it makes the few bands you do see ten times better.

    Highlights of the day

Fuck I'm Dead- I've seen these guys twice live now, and fuck they have so much intensity is aint funny. Everyone needs to see them at least once.

Earth- I hadn't seen them with this new lineup, but they delivered the goods. Earth will always rock.

Destroyer666- They played a shitty set list, but fuck who cares, Destroyer rule.

Infernal Method- The had bad sound, but the combination of songs, and just enough of Joss's ricky martin style pelvic thrust's kept the crowd happy.

My gripe is that most the bands had shitty sound, like really shitty sound. The mix for Shatterwrath was so retarded, it had no lead guitar in the mix at all. It ruined what would should have been an awesome gig for them.

I did have a Brutal Truth - Choice of a new generation shirt on after I had drenched my Cryptic Slaughter shirt during Cleanoff .

I thought Destroyer were quite boring.

    Highlights:

    Sakkuth, Psycroptic, Dungeon, Vanishing Point

Well, i cant remember what songs they played... but i do remember they weren't that great as a live performance..

oh wait, i remember the second last song they played. From what i recall it was Black City - Black Fire.. but i may be mistaken, i was pretty tired!

Fuck, I forgot about this guy.... he was awesome. I think after you left, he started doing the claw and vocals with a really animated face. I saw him later spewing on the front steps.

Destroyer had awful sound, like a lot of the bands. Infernal Method's sound was atrocious. Dungeon was awesome! Astriaal, Earth and Sakkuth were also pretty good. Vanishing Point surprised the shit out of me as they've learned how to move about a bit on stage. Virgin Black were good but a little boring to watch. I liked Forte too! They fuckin' rocked!

They sounded bad out the front, just really messy like everyone else did.

I watched 2 songs, then left for a beer.

To be honest I didn't really think most of the bands had that terrible a sound. Infernal Method for instance... when they played in Melbourne is was slush, but at M4tB is was a hell of a lot clearer. It was a great weekend actually.

Anyone see me? I was the tall dude with short hair in a kickarse Dissection top.

Wish I could have gone. Would have meant a flight over to Melbourne, then a long-ass bus trip. Will have to wait to see them again with Deeds of Flesh.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to fly straight to Canberra? Or would that have been to pricey?

Say, what does Sanigav mean, aside from being "vaginas" backwards?
