Hey guys te recordings for my ep is finish now i want give you 1 song as mixing practise. The one who makes in my oppinion the best mix can mixing our ep. Sorry for my bad english im from germany. Greetz Daniel https://www.dropbox.com/s/5u134b3gn9hkw8v/Bleeding.rar
I'm giving it a go as we speak, but there are definitely some timing and tuning issues with the guitars. Also some editing pops and clicks here and there, plus the DI's are very noisy and they sound a bit dull, maybe old strings? Not great material to work with to be honest. But i'll see what i can come up with Edit : And what is up with that bassguitar? Let alone playing the wrong notes a couple of times making it just, very sharp or flat in combination with the guitars
Gave my self an hour now to work on it now... not monitors, just shit pc speakers. that's what i got after this hour: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25684168/Metalcore666MIX1.mp3
Mixed it real quick, was in a hurry today. Vocals could come up, and the mastering could be a little brighter. But kept me busy for an afternoon.
As promised here it is : It was more salvaging parts then mixing, but i think the outcome is quite allright
Here's my version, did it pretty quickly so I only automated some of the vocals. Tried fixing the bass a little too. Let me know what you think! EDIT:reuploaded
I tried to give this a shot, but found myself in trouble with the noise and the mentioned tuning issues etc. Here is however a clip of what I accomplished today: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55653919/Laardi mix - Bleeding (clip).mp3
I seriously wanted to give it a try, but dude, those DIs are turnoff. It's not mudy but something else. I've heard it before when one band went to me for mixing after they recorded their stuff somewhere else. Those DIs sound thin and somehow performance sound like speeded up....(is that the case?) In previous experience DIs was recorded with that Behringer preamp ADA8000 through some interface and with Cubase in 96000hz.
My take. Tracking was less than ideal, but I managed to pull out this: EDIT: Wtf, the intro had no clipping when I exported it
Hi, This is my attempt. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/70048273/UltimatMetal/Bleeding - VasDim`s Mix.mp3
Well, the DI's should be better, true, but I've found a lot worse in the past. Anyway, great song. I have not had time to fix the bass, neither automate, but I could really use to give me your opinion. https://db.tt/snveW743 \m/
Hey what's up man! It's Adil from Sins of Sincerity, I think you'll dig this mix! There may be some dB issues, but that's not hard for me to fix. Also your raw tracks weren't that great but, check it out. Hit me up on facebook if you wanna hear mixes I did A LOT better on https://www.facebook.com/goretticals ANYWAY, here's your mix man! http://www.mediafire.com/listen/jch62x1j3j1tf6m/Bleeding_Mix.mp3
I may try it up today/tomorrow when I grab some free time from studying, I'll put it on my SoundCloud and send it later!
I'm having enough trouble with dropbox, so I put the soundcloud link (to my regret, hate their MP3 compression)
