Goddamn. An awesome topic. Getting shivers from just random lines of lyrics. I had to contribute. There are so many good ones though... One of my personal favourites would be "My dreams of violence See them coming true" out of Criminals. The coolest way of saying that everything bad you've ever imagined is happening, if I interpreted it right... And with the music. That is a level of art that I'm never going to reach and it makes me feel a bit empty inside Another one, which is not actually Katatonia, but written by Jonas for Swano and Edge of Sanity. That'd be the one. Just got the album, Infernal, end of last year and noticed the text. I thought all the lyrics were written by Swanö, but Losing myself was way too good to be written by him. Checked the covers and it read Renkse. First thought that came to mind: "I should have known..." There is also a text by Åkerfelt from Opeth on Infernal, but that isn't too good actually... I think it's Forever Together Forever.
It is, and Swanö only wrote the lyrics for one song on that album. And that song is, interestingly enough, The Last Song, in which the lyrics about trying to write a song. \v/
