Ok guys, since I seem to be the only one having these problems, I thought I'd make a new thread about it.

I've tried all sorts with phase and even sample accurate alignment.

I'm reamping one single DI through two profiles which is the left rhythm DI from this thread http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/practice-room/887109-kse-fire-burns-cover-mixing-practice.html

Here's the DI through a Recto profile.

    Here's the DI through a 6505 profile.
    https://copy.com/uOb9Acx6wYfs

They sound fine seperately, but when combined they sound strange.

Here's the same clip with the phase flipped on one of the reamps.

Any ideas guys? This is really bugging me!

    Any ideas?

Post full system specs as well dude; soundcard, sample-rate, buffer sizes, DAW version, etc.. etc...

Also, how are you routing the DI into the unit?

Did you set up your Kemper for constant latency? The default setting is variable latency.

Constant latency was on at all times.

    Specs as below

    Windows 8 x64
    Focusrite Saffire Pro 14
    Reaper 4.402 x64
    Kemper Firmware 2.0.0 SVN8573
44.1khz 24bit Buffer size is currently 2048 due to a heavy session prior to this little test, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

I'm running out of Output 3 (TR/TRS) on the Focusrite into the rear XLR input on a Little Labs Redeye then out of the reamp out of the Redeye to the Kemper, back in to Inputs 3/4 on the Focusrite (TR/TRS).

    what profiles are you using?
but anyways i don't think it's very unlikely that two different amp setups don't align perfectly.

Yeah but they don't sound like that usually!! To me it sounds like some really bizarre crossover distortion or something, particularly when you invert the phase. Phasey and smeared I could understand, but distorted and clipped... not so much.

Have you tried it with different profiles from other people? Do they sound okay on their own? How is the output level of your Kemper?

I can't listen to the examples quite yet but I had a very strange issue with my Kemper when I first got it that required a hard re-set of some sort. Has nothing to do with firmware version, but gave me a low level and a strange sound. After I wiped the memory it worked fine.

Don't have any other ideas at the moment without being able to listen.

Phase issues can always occur in real recordings and profiles if two or more mics are used and their distance are not properly set to the source.
Could this natural phenomena be the problem here? Check if you have phasing sounding issues with all other profiles.
Doing a profiler reset is a troubleshooting tip I read about on the kemper forum that helped a few others that had strange sounds in some profiles caused by something in the software. (press the System button while you switch the Profiler on). There are more help tips and instruction info found in the "troubleshooting - emergency procedures" section in the new online wiKPA that is being created.

I'm not surprised that different profiles has different phases and wont work together by default.

Guys, download his clips. Even if you phase align them, they still sound really scratchy and fucked.

Don on the Kemper forum said that nudging the Recto track back 3 samples seems to sort it, but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

Hmm, maybe I moved it back too much when I tried it.
