Wino - Adrift CD (acoustic album - sounds pretty interesting) Spirit Caravan - Dreamwheel CD Revelation - Never Comes Silence CD Revelation - ...Yet So Far CD
I'd have guessed those Havukruunu albums would be popular around here. Definitely one of the better bands I've discovered in the last few years. I think I prefer the last one to the new one, but only ever so slightly
Some early Sentenced, early Fear Factory, early Primordial and early Project Hate Livin in the past right here
Does anyone have the Sacriphyx S/T and Western Front CDs for trade or know where I can find them in the U.S.?
Excited to have found this for near normal CD price. This is a compilation of US (TX/OK) brutal death metal demos released from 1992-1997. Some good stuff on here (particularly Obliteration and Oblation though I like Disencumbrance too). It has sold for $82 on discogs and the only other copy I've seen for sale was $199 on Amazon. Obliteration at the start, Oblation at 45:45. Also picked up: A.W.A.S. - Hope CD Indwelling - And My Eye Shall Weep CD

^^^ lol MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC also booze. Next haul I predict that you'll pick up my favoUrite Dead Can Dance albums, unless you already have them. I have tickets to their LA stop on the 2020 tour which means I might see them in 2021 maybe. I bought spinach and eggs and coffee.
Ha! That's life, mang....and books, lots of books. All I had before the three I just bought above was Within The Realm of The Dying Sun.
That one is my #2 if I ranked them. There isn't a Dead Can Dance album I don't like to some extent, with The Serpent's Egg being the best to me. Even for them, that one is really something special. And easily one of the greatest live bands around. Saw them some years ago and at one point people started clapping along to the rhythm, Mr. Perry firmly stated "STOP CLAPPING." There is a certain level of arrogance to them but it absolutely works. It's a performance, not a party.
Haha, reminds me of stories of Charles Mingus cussing people out if they were talking during set. I think I had owned TSE at one point way back but sold it 'cuz I used to be (am?) stupid. I'll get it back.
I fucking love artists that do that. I mean that's true expression right there, when you believe in your own Thing (and buy into your own bullshit), that's about as true as art gets to me. When I started listening to Fields of the Nephilim the wife and I were wandering nature with The Nephilim playing and I said "just for 5 minutes I wish I had the ego of an '80s gothic singer." Then again for every Mingus there's also a fucking Kanye so maybe it's hit or miss just like everything else.
Haha, damn straight. And them fuckers couldn't be further apart on the spectrum. I mean, Kanye is fuckin' YEEZUS, amirite?
