its finally here!
this one is a beast, :hotjump::hotjump:
and here is a quick clip:
Peavey 6505 head test. Chain: ESP Eclipse>TightBoost>6505 lead channel>legacy 412 V30, sm57+audix I5, miced fredman style.
sorry for floppy playing, was just a quick test.
what do you think?
congrats, owning one myself i would say every metal player should own one.
nice sound bite too!
I bought mine 3 months ago, never looked back
most brutal amp i've ever played, that's for sure. I've played rectifiers, mark V's, marshalls, and a 5150III and none of them held a candle to this beast.
happy NAD, OP
I was really amazed from how loud it is. And it also sounds good at bedroom level
While I dig my 5150, it sounds like a chainsaw compared to my Mark IV. It's a tight and chunky amp for sure, but seems like it has no room to breathe like a Mesa, for example. But - to each his own!
yeah, i actually enjoy the chainsaw quality the 5150/6505 has to it. other amps are just too...smooth. i don't like smooth. it's all preference like you said
Well, all amps you mentioned are good actually. I really like my 6505, awesome amp for sure but I'm waiting for the 5150 III 50w I just bought... :hotjump:
Check the other thread where I compared the powerball to the 6505
