    Hey all

I finally managed to release the debut album of my instrumental metal project "Nahtram" last week. It's a one-man-band basically and I did almost everything on my own but I had the pleasure to get Ermz on the boat for mastering!

You can listen to the whole album on bandcamp or youtube. It's also now on Spotify and all that other Streaming hell.

Sadly this board isn't what it was a few years ago, so I don't know if anybody ever will click this thread, but if you do, show yourself and let me know! :D

    Cheers
    Lukas

Awesome work. Can we get some details on the production? Guitars, drums, synths, etc.

    Sure:

Guitars are mostly my Ibanez JCustom and my Evertune equipped Skervesen Raptor, both with Bareknuckle Aftermaths. I used the X30 Model from the TSE X50 suite as my main amp model both for rhythms and leads (but with different settings). Impulses are a combination of two, I can't remember which ones, have to look them up in the session.

The bass is a Dingwall NG2 (best fucking bass ever). Normal split apporach for bass and high track. Also X30 on the distorted bass track.

The drums are standard Superior Dummer Avatar Kit with Metal Foundry OHs stuff but I used separate samples on the snare and kick. Mostly Slate and Nashville Playground stuff.

Orchestrations are for the most part Berlin Orchestra Inspire. On "Into Crow's Woods" and "Interlude" there is also quite some East West Symphonic Orchestra, but that's just because they're old tracks. For new stuff I know always use the Berlin Orchestra Libs because they sound awesome and the inspire lib is quite small in size (12GB or so).
The choirs you sometimes hear are make with Performance Samples Oceania.

That's actually it. Biggest challenge was to marry the distorted guitars to all that orchestral hell, but I tried not to overprocess the orchestra. I'm quite satisfied with the end result, especially that I'm still just an amateur :D

    /edit

Did a small playthrough for the first time:
