Here's my mix I decided not to include the vocals because they were provided already-processed. Guitars are POD Farm Bass is POD Farm Drums are Superior Drummer 2.0 - Kick replaced 100%, snare replaced 50% I had a lot of fun doing it though. Everything was recorded excellently. \m/
Sounds cool! The drums are a bit dry for my taste, the lead guitars a tad too wet. The last riff sounded pretty fucked up, as the midi-file seemed to trigger a tom with your setup instead of a hihat like in the original
Yeah, the drum MIDI confused me a bit because some were mapped way out of place in Superior. I just stuck the ones out of place wherever, haha. I also panned the main rhythm L and R 120% instead of just 100. Sounded kinda cool so I went with it!
I know, I had to route the two main rhythm tracks to a group track and then use a stereo widener on that to push it further.
I just finished listening to the ep. It is ace. The guitar playing is good but what really makes the music shine is the vocals. I hear lots of Devin Townsend in the singing.
Thanks for the compliment! It's really nice to hear that, as I've always seen myself more as a guitarist rather than a singer. We listen to Devin a lot, so he has obviously influenced our sound to some extent.
remix. i did this in a rush here it is http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28110505/Nerve2.mp3 btw this forum is the only place ive uploaded oh and tight playing as f*ck
Hey guys, really nice song. Here's mine: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10891235/Songs/NEVER END.mp3 really excited about it since I didn't use kick 10 haha.
It was on a basic clean boost setting (Level 50 %, Drive 0 %, Tone 50 %). We used it only for the bass. It was before the Pod X3 in the signal chain, the clean DI is unprocessed.
Here's my version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27496354/The Squid (Mixed by Joshnano).mp3 Re amped Guitars, and tweaked many effects and such. Brought a whole new color to the song and am very pleased with how it came out.
Sounds great and thanks for the mix pack Oh that note, anyone been able to get the midi drums working ? Seems like the drum map is off for superior.
There might be a few "guide clicks" on the drum track I left there accidentally, but I'm not sure if that's the case. I'll have to check that out and see if I have to fix the midi.
