Also, to save me from making a new topic (since odds are at this point I'm not going to write a review; suffice it to say a good time was had and the bands kicked ass, even if I only had heard of maybe 1/3 of them going into it)... Days of the Doom Fest swag/merch haul (the CDs I know I already talked about): Finally got around to listening to all of the CDs; some killer stuff in there. The new Argus and the Sinister Realm albums are especially badass. Except the "Shooting Chemlock" sampler is pretty... Well, meh.

got a copy ( CD Burn ) of Witch Cross - Fit For Fight - this is super out of print. Hells Headbangers is going to release a 3 LP set this year. No CD version though. This thing is amazing from start to finish. I have listened to it like crazy all week. Iced Earth - Festivals of the Wicked DVD Megadeth - Peace Sells 25th Anniversary remaster & live show from 1987
It's phenomenal. You can tell that they put a lot of time into this DVD. I've only watched one of the Barlow shows and the documentary so far, but flipped through the other disc briefly. Great sound, great picture. I haven't seen the band since Powerfest in 2008, so seeing shows from that same summer really brought me back to how much they kicked ass. I think it's cool that they have a show with Ripper as well.
Fantastic on the Iced Earth -- definitely high up on my list of things to get soon. My latest haul: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Nevermore - Enemies of Reality Flotsam and Jetsam - Doomsday for the Deceiver
Damn dog!! That was mean!!!!!! For the record, the live Saint Vitus is seriously one of the greatest live metal albums of all time.
Just got a couple more used CDs today... Opeth - Still Life (the CD set that comes with a 5.1 Surround Sound DVD version of the album) Opeth - Damnation My Dying Bride - Like Gods of the Sun
Opeth The Roundhouse Tapes is amazing. I got the Royal Albert Hall one as well but haven't had time to listen yet. My favorite live album of all time is Jethro Tull at the Isle of Wight. It's so freakin' intense. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7tEATjqjFg&feature=related[/ame] early use of double bass too!
Roundhouse Tapes are great, and I have to say that the Royal Albert Hall is fantastic as well. The second DVD there is just purely fantastic, and the sound quality is superbly mixed IMO.
