Okay, so I had an idea of doing a poll series. Basically, an individual musician will be the subject of each poll in the series and people will vote on what song they feel has the best performance by that musician. I'd want to avoid live performance recordings and just stick to studio material.

    - As an example, if Rob Halford is the subject of the poll, then you would select the one song that you think has his absolute best vocal performance.

    - If the musician in question commonly performs more than one type of performance, you would vote on the best one for each category. An example of this would be someone like Dave Mustaine, who sings and also plays guitar. You could select the same song for both, or you could select individual songs for each category.

    - The goal will be to encourage people to analyze the individual performances of musicians. Even if a song isn't your favorite overall, you may realize that the performer in question does a great job on it.

Anyway, I wanted to start with a popular one like Rob Halford or Bruce Dickinson, but I'm open to suggestions. Let me know who you want to do in the first poll.

If no musician winds up getting more than one vote, I'm just going to randomly pick one from the suggestions so far because everyone has suggested different people.

I'm fine with it. I'll make the poll tomorrow, so anyone else who wants to vote before then should do it.

I cant choose between Dickinson and Halford, they're both great for a start. My suggestions for later rounds are:

    Trey Azagthoth
    Frank Mullen
    Chuck Schuldiner

I was gonna say Tommy Vetterli.

James Murphy doing trade offs with Schuldiner on Spiritual Healing was his best moment

    I cried.

Actually I'd struggle to come up with an answer for this even for most of my favourite musicians. The likely exception is Mustaine so I'll vote for him.
