"This is the JCA20HFlex. Tonally, it's the same as our 20H. But! We've replaced the pots with programmable controls. Set it how you want it, and store it in any of 64 locations. Control it by footswitch or MIDI. It's sorta like a 64-channel tube amp."

    that's pretty cool!

    You forgot the JCA20HV:

    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...8707528.109746.101733997528&type=1&permPage=1

"JCA20HV: Soldano re-voiced it just a little cleaner and a little darker. It has a depth switch, monotone loop, and integrated MicSim.
    It's sitting on a vertical 2x12 slant with Celestion V30; JCA24SV."

This one kind of intrigues me. The MIDI Flex version seems kinda dumb. I used to have the original head and I could see getting maybe 4 distinct tones out of it, or any 1 channel amp for that matter. 64 presets seems sorta ridiculous. Would've been much better if they implemented that one a 3 channel head, instead.

The new Earheart looks interesting. There's a huge thread on it over at Ultimate-Guitar, and people are quite confused on it. The circuit layout looks nearly identical to a Cornford MK50IIH, but Jet City claims to not be partnering with anyone on this amp, and that it's an "original." Either way, I can't see it selling very well... Jet City is known for producing quality amps, at a low price. It would be a mistake to release something this expensive, without any lines in between. They'd honestly be better off releasing it as a different brand, because I can't see this thing selling well at all. Why would people spend $2500 on a Jet City, who have, until now, done only budget amps, when they could get a trusted boutique amp for the same price, or less on the used market?

$2500 could buy you a used SLO, Diezel Herbert, Engl SE, etc.

The expensive Jet City is confusing since I think most people seem to think of them as a cheap Soldano related product. Ehhh

    Jet city full range cabinet!!!
Great tool to be coupled with a fractal axefx unit for instance
(it's just after they show the jca20hV cabinet at 1:54)

Its less of a shitstorm a low-end company to release a premium product than viceversa.

I'm happy to see companies making amps that have midi controlled pots though. In one way its a good way to combat cannibalization by VST's. And its cool.

Now THAT is cool. I don't think he mentioned it, but does anyone know if the cab is active, or will we have to run a power amp into it still? At 750w this thing would be sick if its an active circuit. Since its full range, I could use this cab for guitar AND bass live, through my axe fx and have plenty of power for either application :D

*edit* Nevermind, found more info. It's powered! :D

Also found this info on the Fractal forum:

So excite if this thing is in the ~$700 price range and sounds good. That's less than the price of the higher end power amps, plus you get a stereo FRFR setup!

    if you're going direct it's modeling cabs/speaker emulation/convolution.
In these case you need fullrange
