I dont like...looks like solution 45. logo
errr, no it doesnt.
Love it although it will take getting used to.
From Katatonia's facebook page:
"Did you see the the new three crowned Katatonia temple shirts yet?
Note, this new logo will not entirely replace the current logo (which btw is just a font), but it will be co-used in different areas, just as the logo before the font was and still is.
So, if you don't like it, you have the option not to buy the shirt and if you like it, you have the option to buy the shirt.
etc etc etc"
I like it a lot! Seems more 'alternative rock' than metal, perhaps a reflection of a possible new musical style of the band?
The shirt is quite expensive, though.
And how about some shirts in a colour other than black and… black? My usual complain with most metal bands.
looks cool, not exactly the most original though
I don't like it, nor do I dislike it. Its like I have no opinion on it :/
I think its good when a logo fits an album feeling. We also changed our logo from album to album slightly.
But the changes in the Kata logos have been quite big
I like the logo and the old logo. So eh.
Black is what identifies us metalheads, the day when metal shirts are printed in pink and green is when I'm calling it a day
It does, but I'm really tired of it.
Time to widen the identity! There's a lot of gloomy colors, like the one on BMD album=)
I agree. I want more Grey or Dark Green shirts.
I'm to the point where I don't care...give me a Katatonia album and I'll be satisfied.
I agree...I can't say I love the logo, but I understand the need to expand visually.
didn't Anders said that was not a new logo? that was just for the Tshirt
Even though it apparently won't be used everywhere, I don't care for it. I still don't get why they switched over to the plain font in the first place. The second logo, to me, is the most appropriate, and reflects the music the most accurately.
But I guess it's the music itself that matters the most anyway.
