Yeah I caught this earlier on Blabbermouth. Loving the new singer. This band has been away far too long. Can't wait to get the new disc.
I really liked the music...the vocals sounded like a lot of other power metal bands, nothing that great. Urban would have done a much better job. And how do you go from Century Media Records to something called Despotz Records??? Talk about a fall from Grace
Granted it was only a little over a minute but the singer did nothing to draw me in... Agree with VenomGA, Urban would have sounded better. I will still give this a closer listen when it comes out.
Reminds me a bit of the Ripper Owens tune from Avantasia. I like it, but not as much as I would hope from Tad Morose. Be that as it may, I won't judge until I hear the whole disc. I didn't expect them to top "Mended Rhyme", and they did it several times over.
A Mended Rhyme is my least fave TM with Urban on vox. Undead and Matters Of The Dark are my faves, Modus Vivendi being the 3rd. I'm looking forward to the new album. I liked what I heard, including the new singer. I'm a huge Urban fan and will continue playing the Trail Of Murder album in the meantime.
When you're done with the 700 CDs you picked up at ProgPower, give Modus Vivendi a spin. It's one of my favorites.
Despotz Records is a pretty big Swedish indie label that has ties to Swedish radio. How about doing some research before making up exaggerated claims?
That is a sound approach if you've found you can't enjoy any kind of music unless I'm singing. Since I somehow suspect this isn't the case with most people; if you like metal, why not give it a spin? (And yeah, I get it, you weren't all that serious... I just figured I'd use your post to make my point. )
I like the song, but when I hear it I don't think "TAD F'N MOROSE!!!!!" like I should be. It will take some getting used to, but if the rest of the disc is on par it should be solid.
