They sound very similar, but after listening a couple of times, it seems like the 5150 may be "tighter" sounding, while the Krank seems a little warmer? I'm not sure, I'm not a guitarist! Congrats on the new amp, though!

Awesome, i also own one and love it! i got it for $320 (one of my best buys) and Ganks, you are kinda right, this amp is a bit warmer.
Awesome tone. I'd love to get one of these but it would be certainly too loud for my place. How do you people play on your amps without the police turning up and your neighbours bitching? I have got a 5W Blackstar amp and even that gets too loud when the volume is on like 2 lol
Wow...I've tried this amp once in a music store, almost bought it, but didn't have any good amp near it to A/B so I didn't do it..maybe it's now worth the investment...sounds very slick!!
Sounds surprisingly similar. Thanks for those clips. Seems Krank isn't sold anywhere around here though, but if I could find one of those used I'd consider it. I'm also curious, is that a 20W or 50W version?
