I've found myself disagreeing with you quite a lot on what you've thought were bullshit calls over the past season, actually.
Thanks for replying the proper way. Its not just sports...I have and will gladly talk (usually) about movies, tv, band rec.s / reviews, old school etc. I guess being a diehard Boston fan (and the target that comes here with it) and a sports fan in general just leads me to discuss sports more. I do think its fair to mention concerns and weaknesses about our teams but to also comment on a game, moments or somehow winning...wether its heroic, lucky, fortunate etc. Sure it was an improbable win, but it was a forced fumble...not like the guy just dropped or fiddled the ball away. Plays still had to made in the end and were that resulted in winning.

Apparently you don't know the rules, then. Illegal contact cannot be called within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. Corners can jam receivers at the line all the want unless a ball is thrown to them. Touching someone who isn't involved in the play while running down field should not be called, especially when the contact had zero influence in anything. A rule like that is ridiculous.

Baskett is a pretty solid receiver. 1) I didn't say I disagreed with you about this call. 2) No, you shouldn't be allowed to interfere with a receiver 15 yards down the field if the ball isn't thrown to him and it doesn't affect the play. "Apparently you don't know the rules." Anyway, you can thank Mel Blount for that rule.
Most of the time, the calls I've seen were not obvious, the were extremely borderline. Touching a receiver does not mean you interfere with him. If you tackle him or push him or whatever (Al Harris has done this plenty of times) then yeah I can see where that should be called but not if the contact is minimal at best. And also, all borderline calls at key points in the game should be reviewable. EDIT: Usually the calls on Harris are within the 10 yard mark
I think he's got good size 6'4 220 and he's a nice redzone threat but he has no speed and he tends to round out his routes. his hands are questionable but he's a good blocker. bottom line he's nothing special but I think he's a good role player.
The rule is 5 yards. Either way, that play on Monday was within 5 yards, so it shouldn't have been called anyway. I really don't care what you think is bullshit on what you acknowledge as borderline calls. Borderline calls seem to be what people on this forum get most up in arms about, when realistically a call could have been argued fairly either way. As for bullshit calls, the pass interference call on Troy Polamalu was bullshit, even though it was offset. If anything, that play should've been offensive pass interference. He really is. At first I was annoyed that Rooney decided to bring in this random guy from outside of the organization instead of promoting Whisenhunt, but I quickly changed my mind after a few press conferences.
