Of course we always tune-in for the SB's...but for the first time in awhile I'll be going to a non-Patriot big SB party. Think many feel this matchup has potential to be a classic! Any others going /doing anything special for the SB?
If you think I was comparing them... I think you might be a bit confused. If you would have realized I could have put any team in that blank, maybe you'd get it. If only, if only...
I don't have anything special for the SBI just made a Super Bowl thread so you can talk about what you doing in the Super Bowl.
As an Englishman I normally don't pay any attention to NFL. But I've watched the last couple of SB's and quite enjoyed it. Myself and housemates are gonna stay up late and drink our way through it this year - personally I'm supporting the Saints (only because they share the nickname with my "soccer" club over here)
The Patriots weren't bad guys in the Super Bowl 36.Most people see the Colts as bad guys.Even people consider Peyton Manning as a bad guy, even though I like him.
I live in Massachusetts so he is consider a bad guy I guess. I know someone who said he rather meet TO than meet Peyton. I think Peyton is a funny guy,and I hope he has a commercial on the Super Bowl.
I guess mainly @ Dakryn First off, many NE'ers will always despise and root against Manning and the Colts. Still hold onto and remember his past poor playoff performances against the Pats. However, most NE fans now, the ones that actually have a clue...do better appreciate and respect Manning and all that he is like they should. Not a bad guy at all, professional...a born and bread amazing QB. Second of all...say what ya will about the Pats. Atleast they showed up and played thier part in three exciting and entertaining SB's. The playoff games along the way weren't that shabby either.
I think the 3 Super Bowl wins, the Pats were in were great game. The Giants game was even good for being the best upseat in the NFL history.
^ The Giants game was good, as hard as it was to take. Even the loss to GB...that SB wasn't bad. Speaking of bad, to be fair, I should mention the Bears destroying the Pats...that was ugly. Pats over Panthers started off slow but turned rediculously good as it went on...one of the best ever. http://www.americasbestonline.com/superbowl.htm
you seem like you've read way too many books to not realize you've compared two teams using exaggerated comparison and analogy. also you've read too many books to realize i'm trolling you and you'll never prove me wrong.
I want the Saints to win just because it would be awesome for the team/city/fans. And Brees deserves a Superbowl. But god damn it would be awesome to see Peyton winning another. Peyton = Best QB of all time
I dont really think brees deserves since he became a dud for the chargers, then they get another QB and he decides to compete again, I don't even think it will be a close super bowl like dungy said, colts by 2 tds imo
He wasn't a dud for the Chargers. He was an absolute stud in 2004 posting his best year prior to this season, did good in 2005, and was then thrown out of town because he happened to be injured :\ It was a Brees led Chargers team that stopped the 14-0 Colts from achieving perfection in 2005 actually.
Anyone watching ESPN Classic right now? They are showing some great shows right now. They had Sportscenturys of Tom Brady,Pat Tillman,Emmitt Smith,Bill Parcells, and John Elway.
