Anathema is pretty cool, nice and mellow and has the dark/minor sound that opeth does

Meshuggah. If they are not acoustic/mellow enough, then I don't know what to say.

Alcest - got some 'metal' elements, but is generally rather lovely. Worth checking their myspace - lots of acoustic/clean guitar work going on, not as complex as Akerfeldt's but 'Souvenirs...' is better than any record Opeth have put out in recent years.

    Comus - 'First Utterance'
Experimental/psychedelic Folk band.. Quite a clear opeth influence, as well documented on terrr interewebz'd

how about you try something different than the styles guys mentioned here?.. how about some tango?
try astor piazzolla's "tango: zero hour" or tosca tango orchestra's soundtrack for the movie "waking life"

As much as I love Comus, I wouldn't call it "nice" music.
