I know a few of you have copies of this and I was just wondering what I should be looking for to determine that the copy I have is not a fake. I don't have it in my hands at this time, as the seller had initially lied about shipping it, refunded my money but promised it was on it's way. It has shown up, but I haven't been home to get it yet... My trust in the guy is a little shaky, so I just want to make sure I know how to confirm it's authenticity. Hope someone can help me out
Hey yea its always a pain when buying rarities luckily i trade in that shit so i know how to spot a fake. First of all Firewind - nocturnal Symphony this album cover is a fake: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JpXaZZsAI...X_Asvs/s320/Firewind+-+Nocturnal+Symphony.jpg I dont know how it got on the internet but its fake so if you see one with this cover DONT buy it! The real cover + inner sleaves: http://ring.cdandlp.com/licas31/photo_grande/114165748-2.jpg http://ring.cdandlp.com/licas31/photo_grande/114165748-3.jpg secnd check the quality of the pictures: Real: http://www.matefeedkillrepeat.com/images/rof/real/CDFront.jpg Fake: http://www.matefeedkillrepeat.com/images/rof/fake/CDFront.jpg these are just some examples most of it you learn when your a bit experienced especially when i comes to real and fake autographs. and when your buying a extremely rare item not nocturnal symphony but for example a autographed beatles item signed by all the beatles and he's selling it for 50 bucks its as fake as it can get. I hope this helps and if you have a copy plz post pictures so i can double check em
Thanks FWW!! How about the CD itself, I've read some stuff posted online from CD collectors and learned that many artist demos have or are recorded on CDR which have a bluish tint to the recordable side. The copy that I purchased (which I won't see until tomorrow) is apparently a "An original Silver pressing" Does that make any sense? The photo listed in the auction I purchased it from, has the EXACT same photo as you listed in the Real cover link. Is that your photo? or did you get it from somewhere online? I just started getting into collecting the limited edition FW stuff after seeing the FW collection thread.. So, any help is greatly appreciated. I will post a pic of it tomorrow.. Here are pics shown in the auction I won..
That is NOT a fake. That is the official mp3.com release of the album. Yes it is not the official demo but it is not a fake either. You can see the front and back in my photos here http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=125635280842178&set=a.125635250842181.23392.100001871203370& http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=176963&l=757faf9657&id=100001871203370
So there are 2 pressings of the album the one i have 4 of and the one with the most know cover printed by mp3.com?
Ok, so I got the CD today.. My first impression of the CD artwork is that it was done on a color printer..It appears to be fuzzy and somewhat pixilated.. The inside credits don't seem too bad, but appear to be printed slightly crooked. The paper itself seems to be CD booklet quality with a slight to it. In viewing the CD, I can see that the print is on a clear adhesive and not printed directly onto the CD. The recorded side of the CD is silver, no blue/green tint. Here are some pics of it for you to check out to see if it's legit
hey man where I can buy these physically cds, especially both guitar masters? (i have only nocturnal symphony and the rest I bought the digital downloads) thanks
I pirated nocturnal symphony so i can't help you. It doesn't sound that great to be honest lol. It's one Firewind CD that won't end up on my ipod lol
Hey Johnny Z, I just bought one of the Guitar Masters (Remastered) on Amazon Here is the link http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...s&field-keywords=gus+g+guitar+masters&x=0&y=0
oh yes, i bought it 1 month ago on amazon too i'd like to find the first version too... but it's out of stock thanks
I've got a bigtime collector checking his sources for a copy for myself. I just sent him a message asking him to look for 2. If anything comes up, I will let you know.
This is one of the 500 released through mp3.com, right? If this isn't the "official" demo, what does the original demo look like, how rare are they, how expensive, and how many are there, ish? Thanks
Read through the above comments. The "official" demo is the one I posted above with the darker black/blue cover. I believe there were only 500 of those made and they are rare, but do pop up occasionally online. I've only ever seen one copy of the mp3 version, which I now own. Prices vary from 30-100
