Man, you guys are crazy.. comparing their CD's one against another. The whole reason I love Nevermore is because no CD sounds remotely the same. There is a huge leap from album to album. I love the self titled for the uncotrolled rage sound it had, and then PoE for the more structured, but still angry, agressive and still very melodic sound.. DNB has the story that really pulls you in.. with a GREAT fucking production job and some killer music.

Dead Heart.. has some of my favorite lyrics. The River Dragon.. come on now, he's singing about the chinese being idiots and not learning from their mistakes from the 3 gorges dam, and when all three collaspe... millions (Approx. 14 Mil) could drown and die.

Evolution 169 and it's evolution vs creationism topic is very well written. And the CD has Heart Collector, which instantly makes it worth owning. EoR is very brutal, it's fast.. heavy and unrelenting, and it has some of the most ripping guitar work. Warrel Dane comes off as, pissed, stressed and ready to kill and it makes for some very moody songs.

TGE is just crazy.. from Born all the way to the title track, it takes you on twists and turns all the way around. I like how every song sounds like a song and now just a bunch of riffs strung together. But anyway, every CD has something different too offer, no release is better then the other or worse even.

Actually, I don't really like the cover of Love Bites myself. It was done well... it's just.. meh, I skip it whenever it comes on.

I like all of their songs. The only one I'm "iffy" about is "System Is Failing". I love Believe In Nothing, Love Bites, Garden of Grey, etc... To me Nevermore hasn't recorded a bad song.

I don't care for the following:

    Narcosynthises
    Evolution 169
    Believe in Nothing
River Dragon (I got bored of it. Kind of simple)
    Ophidion :)p)
    Deconstruction
    The Lotus Eaters
    All Play Dead
Seed Awakening (Except for the intro which rules)
    Medicated Nation

And opinions are like assholes, mine is better the yours.

    Hello!

Yeah Ambivalent's chorus is a little uninspired I suppose. For Nevermore-standards at least.

I think sentient6 is one of the weaker tracks on tge, as well. the second half of the song is awesome, but i too much prefer the learning.

and whats with all the self titled worship? is it cool to like the obsecure stuff because its, well....obsecure? half of the self titled sucks ass. i think warrell has even said he doesnt like that album all that much. they showed potential, and songs like the sanity assassin are awesome, but a lot of that album sucks. and dreaming neon black has 14 tracks on it. far more than necessary for any metal album would ever need. a few of those songs are just filler. i think dnb is a great record but the most over rated album in their catalogue.

you're right that I don't like lyrics that go against my beliefs, is there really a problem with that? I can stand the rest of those songs because the lyrics aren't so direct like create the infinite.

Godmoney seems to be talking about televangelists, but I am against televangelism, so its fine with me. Poison Godmachine sounds like it's about the mainstream media, or a harmful cult (isn't the story about warrell losing someone to a cult?). Not sure what deconstruction is about, but it sounds like it's about the world becoming dead. Godless Endeavor just sounds like a conflict between science and religion, plus the sweeping solo is nice.

as for the black metal comment, I just hate the lyrical matter. I like a little growling here and there.
