Tuatara! The perfect chillout music. They're like a really animated world/jazz fusion band that mixes so many sounds. Steel drums, conga, saxaphones, upright bass, flutes blended perfectly.

    Beautiful Norwegian prog-folk-rock.

Aw man, they'd be so much cooler without the vocals. Still, nice.

I think every band gets 90%+ on the site. ;)

Oh, and Spiral Architect. If I could be arsed putting links up I would. In fact, there's so many great bands out there that people don't know about. Shame. Great idea for a topic. :)

Anyone else here heard the UK group "TEN"?

Fucking love their stuff - found out about them as their lead singer Gary Hughes did the song-writing on Bob Catley's early solo stuff. Found out that he was the lead singer of Ten and well, I own every one of their albums (as well as Gary's solo CDs) now.

Anyway, they've got a new album coming out in Feb called Stormwarning. Previews sound really good thusfar:

Mark Zonder (Fates Warning) on drums, Dennis Ward mixing and producing, and some killer coverart by Royo.

    Cannot wait!!

My favourite albums would have to be Spellbound followed closely by Babylon.

Babylon is a bladerunner-esque concept album based around a computer programmer who basically falls in love with a girl in a virtual reality environment.

Spellbound is also a brilliant album - has probably my favourite song of theirs called "Red", which lyrically would not be out of place on a Grave Digger album.

Gary Hughes 'Strength Of Heart' is fantastic, but pretty much everything else he has done since has not interested me. I know a lot of people really dig him though and have been waiting for a new Ten album for a long time!
