I like what I've heard from Abramelin, but nothing essential from what I recall.

Divine Eve is extremely heavy, very Celtic Frost influenced Death Metal. They only released one EP, but there was very recently a posthumous compilation released that I plan to get soon. The band evolved into Crimson Relic and released a full-length album, which I understand is also superb.

Abramelin's self-titled is pretty cool, especially for post-1993 Death Metal.

I've been recently getting into the Dutch scene, bands like Asphyx and Pestilence.

where can I pick up some of their albums?

(and no, amazon.com isn't an option)

I wish there were more modern bands playing old school.

u might find it a little too technical, but Carcass - "Heartwork" is a good one

It is pretty safe to assume that when you're asking this question about any death metal album in relation to SoSE that the answer will always be SoSE.
