if opeth were a movie, what kind of movie would they be? say the genre and why you said this. expand. be interesting because nothings interesting on this board. heres what i think (it doesnt have to be this long): i think opeth would be an independent film about a guy inwhich nothing good ever happens to him, and he decides to try coke and he starts to get addicted but he convinces himself he isnt addicted and thinks that his life is getting better. but he soon realizes after many cravings that he is addicted and he goes to rehab and quits and meets a hot girl. but the hot girl happens to be a man who is addicted to coke but goes to rehab to meet other men, and when the original man finds out that the hot girl is a guy, he decides that leading a gay life would be better than a life alone. so he lives with the other guy and gets addicted to coke again, but not as addicted as he originally was. he then see's that since he was a kid he could see this day coming, and he and the other guy agree that the only reasonable thing would be to overdose on live tv. they both overdose and die on tv, and opeth is playing the background. thats what i think opeth would be as a film. share what you think, please
graphic and twisted drama/suspense/mystery type... saying horror is the obvious answer for most...but I just don't see it..
Nah... Opeth's music generates an imagery on its own, so putting images to the music would only detract from the quality of the music itself. Hasnt this thread been done before very recently?
if they say horror they better have a mighty damn fine reason for it. so im "on coke" because i happened to have said something out of the ordinary? intersting thought process. but to reply on that comment, i am not on coke, or any other drug (illegal) actually. suprised? me too. hahaha funny.
its all a matter of opinion. the unimaginative bastards would like a movie for it because they dont have the ability to use their mind to create any imagery. i have no muthafuckin clue if this was ever done recently. if it were, it wouldnt have stopped me from making it. im just a bastad. yes, i meant to write bastad.
Film Noir? Sometimes that would fit best i think........or a film in black/white with a story that u may understand after watching it for a hundred times........but u never will
Thread author has been banned from the forum, by the admin, for continually spamming the boards with wasteful matter. Enjoy the conversation folks I personally think Deliverance is the most movie-ish album they've made, and if we were to go by that sound, it would definately be very film-noir. Anything overtly downpouring and depressing would suit their music well.
The admin saw it fit. I thought reprimandment would've been the worst he'd get, but apparently all his posts are as worthless as the ones on here.
Deliverance's rumored concept (basically murder and remorse, Crime and Punishment style) would make a damn good movie. and it would have to be directed by Darren Aronofsky (who directed Requiem for a Dream and Pi).
