Have you met a famous actor, singer, or celebrity other than the Maidens? Post your pics and experiences here.

    Here's my first batch:

San Diego Comic Convention, 2004-2005 - These were the only two times I attended the Comic-Con. And I got in for free, as I had friends who ran a fledgling comic book label. Because that label had connections with people in the wrestling industry, the booth had 3-time former WCW Champion Diamond Dallas Page for a meet & greet session on both years.

Of course, there isn't a Comic-Con without a big Star Wars booth. At the 2005 con, Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) were there to sign autographs. I got to meet the girl who played the blue Jedi chick on the last two films.

And then there's Tiffany Taylor (Miss November 1998 Playmate). Met her on both years. Such a sweetheart.

RVD's 5-Star Comics, Lakewood, CA, 2003-2004 - Back in 2003, I was part of a small-time wrestling talk show on cable radio. At the same time, former WWE and ECW Champion Rob Van Dam ran a comic book shop at the Lakewood Mall. There, he had a WWE Superstar come in for an autograph session every month. I was assigned by the Squared Circle crew to take pictures.

This was also my very first opportunity to meet a wrestler.

Lisa Moretti first wrestled in the mid-1980s as Tina Ferrari in Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). She then jumped to other promotions before landing in the WWE in the late 1990s as Ivory. Of all the wrestler's I've met, she was the friendliest, always wanting to talk to everyone around her.

Amy Dumas was best known as Lita, the high-flying WWE Diva. She retired a couple of years ago and is now running a punk-rock band called The Luchagors.

"What does everybody want?" Al Snow was no Hogan or The Rock in terms of popularity and status, but he had an excellent workrate and was famous for bringing a mannequin head (simply named "Head") to the ring. Unbelievably friendly in person.

Of course, how could anyone not walk into RVD's 5-Star Comics without meeting "The Whole F'n Show" himself? He stopped by during the Lita autograph session. He brought in the Intercontinental Championship belt. And despite the fact that he's pretty cool in person, you could tell he was not happy that night. I don't blame him, as he had to drop the title to that punk Randy Orton the next night.

Sadly, RVD had to close shop in Lakewood. Today, the shop is located off the Pacific Coast Highway in Lomita, CA.

BTW, send RVD your prayers and best wishes, as his wife was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.

Ivory's been around a while. I remember her from GLOW in the late 80s. Reports are she has a daughter who is entering the wrestling biz and the two are going to start tag teaming. Oh, the angles that could allow...

I'm a journalist, so I've met tons. Started out at age 19 while living in New England. I interviewed em all: Hetfield, Hammett, Mustaine & Jr., Scott Ian, Chris Cornell, Overkill, Testament, Slayer. Nope, not Maiden or Priest. But I did give Motorhead a ride to the hotel from the club. What an adventure that was.

Met a bunch of actors, too. Tom Baker, the most famous Doctor Who, was an absolute douche to me when I tried to interview him. John De Lancie, Q from Star Trek, was a very cool cat and patient with my screw ups.

I'm in the computer industry now so I meet all the big shots. I probably know Marc Benioff of Salesforce the best. Only one I never met was Gates.

Whoa, that's news to me. I never read anything about Lisa having any children. WWE already has a whole bunch of wrestlers' kids in the ring. Aside from the ones we know such as The Rock and Randy Orton, there's also DH Smith (son of the late "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith), Cody Rhodes (nephew of Dusty Rhodes), Natalia Neidhart (daughter of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) and Ted DiBiase (son of the Million Dollar Man).

Anyway, Lisa has a MySpace she shares with Nora Greenwald (formerly known as Molly Holly).

RVD's 5-Star Comics, Lakewood, CA, 2005 - This is probably my most memorable moment as a wrestling fan, as I got to meet Chris Benoit. Unfortunately, I was unable to take a pic of myself with him, because the store was gonna charge me $20 for that (screw them!). Nevertheless, I shook hands with him and saw how humble he was. He was the last great wrestler I had respect for, and it was an honor to have met him.

Sadly, he was also the reason I stopped watching wrestling altogether. On June 2007, following years of taking steroids and the fact that his son had a rare learning disability that made autism look like a mosquito bite, Benoit murdered his wife (Nancy, formerly known in the ring as Woman) and son before hanging himself.

Thanks. Got lucky on that...twice! First on the boxed set, then on the grand prize to meet them. They were also filming for 'The Osbournes', but Ozzy quit the show a couple weeks later and it never aired, so we didn't make it on tv.

Burbank Bar & Grill, Burbank, CA, 2007 - A car movie called Redline hit (and bombed at) theaters. During its first week, the production staff hosted a meet & greet in my old hometown of Burbank, where I got to meet two of the actresses from the film. Yes, the movie sucked, but these two ladies were such sweethearts.

A month or so later after I posted this pic on my MySpace album, Denyce Lawton posted a comment, thanking me for supporting the film and inviting me to watch a B-movie she recently starred in.

Was at the Sabbath/Priest show with CRSCHKUM & HobbesDawg a couple weeks ago, and we had WeeMan from Jackass in the row behind us. Also saw him after a Maiden show @ Irvine a couple tours ago..

I heard James Earl Jones talking in Vegas in front of Bally's and turned around and saw him getting out of a cab..and bumped into Rodney Dangerfield and his wife in the casino at MGM once. Rodney was short!
