There's nothing like an english ale. Hobgoblin ftw.
Budweiser is displacing English ales in popularity among British youth, according to CAMRA. I wouldn't say this plague is limited to the borders of the US.
Don't drink shit beer!
Yes, Phanto, Wychwood makes good stuff. Unfortunately, Albuquerque is controlled by a distributorship and we don't get much good stuff. My annual trip to Colorado is a fun expedition though. At least we get Stone and Avery locally though. Maharaja is absolute heaven for the IPA style.
Prior to Prohibition, every town did have a local neighborhood brewpub. Thank you to our politicians for destroying all American breweriania. Save for Yuengling and Anheiser Busch, no breweries could withstand that dark period of time and all folded. Thankfully, the craft brewing age has returned, and most British brewers even comment on some of the insanely good beers now being made in the US.
And, Belgium leads the world in breweries per capita.
<--- Used to live in Belgium! MMM...
American beer is Nu-Metal....and we agreed that we don't need to hear every single nu-metal song to know we don't like nu-metal.
But you yanks make Jack Daniels and for that you should be applauded.
Sod off. Nu-metal is nu-metal. Just because you Aussie's like croc piss makes you no connoisseurs of liquid bread.
American beer is heavy metal with shitty production.
If American beer is heavy metal with bad production, then Aussie Beer is Technical-Death Metal, and the wine for which South Australia is world famous for is vintage progressive-rock...
Fosters ain't tech death
and in all honesty, i go for shit beer every now and then (PBR FTW!!!) but it depends on if i'm looking to have a nice beer for the evening or do a bit of partying with the friends.
Though it cracks me up when i say "hey, let's get some PBR"
friend: "Awww fuck no, that shit's gross! Let's get MGD"
Nobody in Australia drinks Fosters (i don't even remember the last time i saw any for sale at the shops) its just swill we sell to the rest of the world who have less refined tastes.
The Fosters group are responsible for some fine beers though
including a fave south of the Queensland border
God you aussies do have a superiority complex, eh? Kinda out of place, considering.
As lewis black says (about new zealand but it still applies):
"If you want to be part of our community, why don't you get off your island and push it closer?"
You guys may have more people than us, but we have more space...
And we are superior Montu, what's all this about a 'complex'...
What are those two bottles in Charis' last photo from her birthday party?
Lucy, you have some 'splainin' to do.
USA> other things
most things> usa > other things
ps ABQ: that show was CLASSIC.
They are Queenslanders (1 hr est and 10 years behind other Australian States)....known for their poor taste in beer such as XXXX.
This article will give you an insight
