I have started to dig deeper into this genre and could always use more.

Anyone got any recs. beyond the obvious?

Post-Punk is a very vague term, it could mean anything from The Human League to Gang Of Four.

Shit like Interpol, Joy Division, The Birthday Party, This Heat. That is the stuff I am talking about, though I am not an expert yet on the genre.

If you haven't heard of them, check out Echo & The Bunnymen.

The Pop Group is right up your alley if you're a This Heat fan, and I'm pretty sure that you are.

Maybe early New Order albums? "Power, Corruption and Lies", "Lowlife".....not too sure.

    The Cure's "Seventeen Seconds"...hmm.

Well if he's into Joy Division, looking into "Moment" would probably be a good idea.

EDIT: I'm sure you've listened to them, but also check out Sonic Youth. Namely, Daydream Nation and Sister.
