I'm glad SOMEONE agrees here. I have a feeling appreciation might play a part in it, maybe the learning experience in the manual was shit or whatever. I didn't like manuals, but then i bought one, a RE-DID my license in one. I wouldn't even consider going back now. And about the difference in price - yeah it's substantial. Dad owns a VE SS Manual, it's a monster and about 4 k or something cheaper than the auto counterpart.

Yep, and they're much more fuel efficient because unlike autos they're not driving around in overdrive all the time. But I've already said that.

I was at Cronulla on the weekend and it's nice but all the tourists and parking hassles make it a shit place to live. The other problem is that it's the people who don't live there who cause trouble.

Plus, this sort of shit can happen anywhere.

There's a post there from a mod who claims she would ask him about it. Whether she did before the hoax was revealed or not, who can say.

I drove a manual for two years after getting my license, and still occasionally drive a manual. Can't stand it.

I'll stop talking about this shit now tho cos I think its pretty clear I think manuals are pointless but each to their own. As long as people dont drive like certain members of my family go for it.

We went to see "Hairspray" at Castle Hill on the weekend.... during the pre-movie ads, I wasn't watching the screen but then heard this kick-arse guitar lick. Then heard this "You're listening to Chris Brooks, resident blah blah at blah blah"

My first reaction was "holy shit, someone from the forum is famous"

You don't want to know- but nothing with Goatse that's for sure!! Our spam filter catches about 500 spams a day (for an office of 7 people)- that's 15,000-ish per month folks. Mostly this penis enlargement stuff is all spewed out by elements of the Storm worm. Various factions of hackers are vying for control of segments of Storm so it's not quite as bad as it could be if the Storm worm was weilded as a single instrument. Some of the stuff that comes in uses random words that are almost poetry.

Actually, mate, making such a grand generalisation is kind of foolish. I have a small late model panel van which I bought second hand. The automatic versions of this van would have been at the very least about 15% more expensive. If you think I bought it to "be a dickhead in it" you should consider the fact that its a 1.4L 4 cylinder engine. Couple that with the fact its a panel van and a kerb weight of a tonne and the only fancy tricks you could work in it would consist of a nice slow 30m figure 8.
You really oughta look into the prices of new or even used cars - everyone here is right when they say a manual is between 1000 and 4000 dollars cheaper on a new car than an automatic.

Last night went to the Black Crusade.

Unreal. Arch Enemy are just incredible. The harmonised solo in ravenous was so perfect I had a stupid shit eating grin for the rest of their set.
Pity it was so ridiculously short. Not a fan of Trivium, so I just stood there, chillin out. At solo sections I was watching Matt, and in every song he would start out with a short "melodic' lick, then do something ridiculously fast. Then he would do the "left hand muting" overhand legato shit. I was thinking 'fuck dude, get some originality, we get you can play fast as balls."

    And then Machine Head.
I can't say I've heard a whole lot of them.. I have a couple albums, but only got them recently, so i wasn't familiar with their songs. But damn they are cool guys.

Got a couple crowdsters up, who were dressed in Halloween gear and had a drink with them, then got them to jump from the stage into everyone.

Then I chilled out all night with some newly made friends.

I am also anticipating showing such grinnage :headbang:

First time in a while i have wanted a band to play a lot off their latest album. Same for MH.

    Trivium can suck it....boring imo.
