Yeah that sucks. A few are starting to disappear now.

On a similar note, Layne Staley died 9 years ago today.

I was reading the ingredients on the label of my peanut butter jar.

Ingredients: Roasted Peanuts (85% minimum), etc.

    Two lines down it reads:

    Contains Peanuts

    Seriously?

85%! The peanut butter I get at the food co-op is 100%. Just peanuts put through a grinder, into a jar. May contain nuts.

I recall a machine at the old Franklins Fresh at Market Town Leichhardt. It had a see through hopper on top full of peanuts and below the grinder it churned out peanut butter.

Gotta find me some of that.

Ok let me rephrase that.... I don't have the time to follow the inner workings of a band I barely listen to these days

    BOUGHT A NEW CAR YESTERDAY!

Had a 1998 VT Berlina that I bought brand new, and its just a little long in the tooth now. The V6 guzzling 13litres of petrol per 100Kms at $1.50 a litre was really starting to hurt the hip pocket too.

So traded it in on a little Holden Cruze Series II. Got the 1.4litre turbo model, which on holden's figures does 6.4litres per 100Kms.

Taking delivery this week hopefully - really looking forward to owning a new car again!!

Ah cool I've been looking at the Cruze in the paper. Let us know what it's like when you've given it a bit of a run around.

    Very cool \m/

I test drove an Epica as well - with the run-out deals at the moment it would have been the same price if not less than the Cruze.

It was nice to drive. More powerful (2.5litre v6 auto), but it looks a bit dated already - would not age well. Also large expanses of ugly empty space on the dash.

Not at Luxottica is it? I know a few people who went there lately. They seem to be hiring a lot of people.
