P:407 - The Post Dagger Experience, influenced by Opeth, Anathema and Katatonia. Demo out two weeks ago. http://www.myspace.com/p407 http://www.p407.tk First review is in: For those of you who follow(ed) the Belgian scene a bit, The Quiescent (RIP) should ring a bell. It's from that period and in that band, that the idea for P:407 was born in the minds of Joris Timmersmans and Filip Dupont (better known from Gorath & Mahlstrom). Knowing that the project consists of this duo, my expectations rose quite high. "The Post Dagger Experience" creates a sort of atmosphere-laden musical landscape... I tend to say 'a mix of influences or styles' a lot about bands, but here it's more unique: it's a blend of emotions. The clean vocals are tender, touching and almost solemn, and paradoxically enough, they add significantly to the music's 'feeling' through their emotionlessness. It's this voice that guides us through the compositions, drenched in despair, dreaminess, anxiety and melancholy. A demo of outstanding quality, for fans of Katatonia, Opeth and Anathema! Feel free to comment!
Greetings fellow Opethians, The band that I play keyboard in, Be'lakor, has recently recorded and released a demo - "Belial's Pact". We're an Australian band, based in Melbourne. The track can be found in the 'downloads' section on our website: http://www.belakor.net I would LOVE to hear all feedback, whether good or bad, from the people on this website. Thanks! \m/
The problem with posting all promotion posts into one topic is that nobody gives a fuck and nobody checks it out.

Greetings from a portuguese Opeth addicted. Here are some rough home made recordings of my band. We will enter studio in a few weeks. Hope you enjoy. http://www.myspace.com/obliquerain
I like the clean vocals. I think they have a different tone to what you might often find in metal. I'm impressed by this track. It's slightly disjointed at points, but it's largely tight, with good melodies and ideas. Keep it up!
