Why thank you guys. It is amazing that the viking ships are in such good condition. You're not a fan of the cold Swany? What else did you get up to in Norway? I'm in Paris atm and I agree it takes less planing to go out side in this temperature. It is good to go somewhere like Norway and have a holiday from Aussie heat though. Off to Morocco tomorrow.
Oh I wouldn't say that per se, but three months of winter were enough for me and that "winter" here was rather cold, icy and wet than white and pretty. So I enjoy it to be able to carry less coats, hats and shawls around ^^ I went to Norway some years ago for some sightseeing in the Telemark and Emperor And although it was October already, weather was extremely nice, a sunny autumn... hmmm~ good times!
Hey Deliverance, I'd love to make thread comparing our Katatonia collection. What do you think? I believe you have the superior overall collection but I don't think anyone can touch my cd collection. Here's me:
Here are some photos from my awesome Northeastern tour of darkness last month. I met up with Noah, my bff from grad school who now lives in the Washington DC area, and we caught Enslaved/Alcest and then the two Katatonia headline LFDGD gigs in Rochester and Cleveland: Pre-gaming in DC for Alcest/Enslaved with my friends Chad and Shelley: I met Neige and Winterhalter. I kept telling them that they were "Tres Sexy." Winterhalter was amused, Neige was downright creeped-out. These sentiments are well reflected in their facial expressions: We had a massive dance party on the sidestage during Enslaved. Chad and Shelley were caught 69'ing during the set: I didn't get any photos at the Rochester gig. However, before the show, Noah and I chowed down with Anthony and his wife and Dinosaur BBQ, which is seriously the most ridiculously tasty food I've ever eaten. We ate piles of ribs/beef/pork/etc, and all of it was flavored and cooked to perfection. Here's Noah gettin' tore up on dem rips after we had a few shots of Patron: On the way to Cleveland the next day, we took a detour to Niagara Falls: Then, we partied with Reece and Chris in Cleveland: All-in-all, it was a pretty super weekend! Three shows in three nights (with Rochester probably being the greatest show I've ever seen), 1600 miles on the car, and countless shots/beers/dranks with so many awesome people. We were supposed to see Katatonia last weekend in New Orleans. My friend Dan had already bought a plane ticket to fly down from Atlanta and I had booked a non-refundable room for the weekend, so we just ate and drank a lot for 48 hours straight. Picking Dan up at the airport: The best part about New Orleans is that you can walk around with an open bottle EVERYWHERE and no one cares. Here we are visiting our friend Kelsey at a market where she has a booth, Patron in hand: Pool time: Bar time: Chow: We met up with some of my coworkers who were in town for the weekend, and about 10 different other people that we're all acquainted with who live there. I wound up spending $300+ in cash on drinks the first night and losing my credit card . Not to mention, I don't even remember walking back to my hotel at 4am after a girl I know got me completed plastered at a bar she works at long after my two bros had retired for the night. I'm giving up drinking, at least for this weekend.
My life is obviously way less interesting than LDS'. "Helping" a friend pick out a Halloween costume:
You sure know how to have a good time, LDS Awesome pics as usual... you always make me smile I still remember Reece's friend, Chris. He used to post here a while ago. And he used to post some really interesting pics. @wanderlust_: nice hat
It's good to be picked to be on a best friend team. Yay. Haha, I'm glad you like my gangster hat. I'm obviously the epitome of thug life.
The fact that you knew it was a latte based on the type of cup (as we know the styrofoam is used for coffee) makes you more thug than I.
