I'm not big on Power Metal, but I love Blind Guardian. Lost Horizon are pretty good as well if you like that kind of stuff.

Which era of Dragonland? During the first two albums or the 3rd and 4th? because the style between those albums are quite different in some ways! The first two were more traditional power metal with some neo-classical influences, whereas the later two were more spacey and heavy. The newest album, however, is more of a return to their original sound though!

Here's some power metal that's a bit more on the spacey side though

So much demand for power metal in these threads... a pity this genre has been so dead in the last years.

    Helloween

    Gamma Ray

    Rhapsody of fire

    Stratovarius

    Edguy

    Blind Guardian

    Hammerfall

Exactly the same here. I like a few albums by Helloween and some other bands like that, but the only band I truly give a shit about is Blind Guardian.

If you have not checked out Blind Guardian, stop whatever you're doing, and check them out. Best Power Metal of all time.

Does Manilla Road really count as power metal?
