Excellent show. Same setlist as LA.. masters, baying, in my time of need, wreath, heir apparent & drapery. The whole band was spot on, and crowd reaction was phenomenal. We booked it as soon as they left the stage, went outside to find that we were amongst maybe 4-5 people that left immediately following Opeth. Started seeing their gear being loaded up into a trailer following a small van.. looked up into the windows at the back of the Paramount and, on top.. saw Mike and Bass, and in the lower window Per. They all lit up cigarettes, I yelled up to Mike, he looked out, gave me a thumbs up.. then Fredrik poked his head out sideways trying to see what was going on All in all, excellent set.. Axe has improved 100% from the last time I saw them (Gigantour). Fredrik is pretty transparent playing live (well, except for the Heir solo).. but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He just needs to cut his hair Oh, and Bass is almost as tall as Axe when he's sitting behind his kit In the end, I could not have asked for a more incredible birthday. Thanks guys!! I wish I could drive up to PDX to see you all by yourselves tonight!
