Hi all Since this is the Theocracy forum room, and think and hope it would be appropriate to ask a survey question of any of you who would be so kind as to respond, and from your heart. I am trying to gather information as to how people would answer this question: Who do you say Jesus is? If you wish to answer, please be honest and just from your heart, a short answer is fine and try not to base your answer on what someone else has posted ; who do you say Jesus is? thanks Jeff
My answer is the part of the Nicene Creed that deals with Jesus (it varies a bit in the different Christian traditions; this is the Catholic text): I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
It feels so homey yet different reading all this, mainly because when I read it I see the whole thing in Croatian in my mind. I've never prayed in English because there wasn't any need for it!
