You're in no pain now and in a better place Ronnie.
Hope you're walking in those golden halls now Ronnie. RIP.
R.I.P Ronnie James Dio.
Shivers down my spine reading that. RIP.
The world of Metal will never be the same without that mighty little man.
A dark day for our world. May you walk through those golden halls and climb that silver mountain. RIP RJD.

RIP Ronnie James DIO .....

the horns for the man who gave them to use to Throw at concerts
and here is the song that so many of us grew up listening to and influenced us in so many ways
The thing that scares me the most is that this is gonna be the first of many - that the guys who started it all are getting to that age...
Absolutely shit news! Extremely glad I got to see the man play 4 times last year on what will now be his last run of shows. R.I.P. Dio!
yup the ABC used to put this on when they had an unscheduled break or technical hitch ....
...and I recall often before Countdown, the show before would finish at 5.55pm or so and they had to fill the space.
I keep looking back again and again at the headline on the Sydney Morning Herald site, it doesn't seem real or to make sense...and every time I look it sucks even more
Vale Ronnie, et in Arcadia ego.
very sad, a true loss. RIP
Love is All.......brings me to tears again. So many memories from that song alone.
I am just going to copy what I put on my FB status this morning:
Red Spikes Ronnie James Dio RIP.
My thoughts go out to his beautiful Wendy, his family and loved ones.
We should all feel blessed that we were touched by such a wonderful man.
That we got to share in his amazing talents, is an honour.
His Legend will live on...
This is just unbelievable news. The undisputed king of heavy metal is gone.
I've been a massive fan of Ronnie's work, right from literally the very beginning of my exposure to heavy metal. The first metal song that ever made me sit up and take notice was Hear N Aid's "Stars", and the first metal album I heard was Black Sabbath's "Live Evil". I was absolutely floored by the incredible vocals and had to find out more about this amazing music that I'd just discovered. My constant companion over that time was Ronnie, with Sabbath, his DIO solo band or with Heaven And Hell.
We had the very good fortune of meeting the DIO band in 2005 in Germany and going on to working with some members. I regret not having said much to Ronnie as he was preparing to take the stage to deliver yet another amazing performance in front of 20,000 enthralled fans. I was front row and centre when Heaven And Hell played in Wollongong not long after that, completely spellbound by what I was seeing before me and getting that same feeling I had when I was a teenager discovering this music for the very first time.
It seems absolutely unthinkable that the man who has brought so much joy to millions of people is no longer with us. It's a great loss to me, fans everywhere and heavy music in general. The world is now a far less magical place.
My thoughts go out to Wendy Dio right now who will be feeling this hurt a lot more than any of us could imagine.
Very sad day, and a truly tragic loss.
Rest In Peace, Ronnie. The flesh may die but your legacy will live forever.
