German metallers Sacred Steel have covered 'Generally Hostile' on thier new album 'Hammer of Destruction'. I haven't heard this, but Sacred Steel are very cool so I'm looking forward to it. Mark
Saw one of their "Hammer of Destruction" Release Party Shows a couple of days ago.( Great Billing BTW,with Vicious Rumours and Beyond Fear )Unfortunately they didn't play "Generally Hostile".Wanted to buy the album yesterday, but it wasn't a good offer ( about $18 ).I will tell you about the song as soon i have it. For those who are interested, here is their newest Video clip. Sacred Steel - Maniacs of Speed
So sad though that Gerrit will ruin the vocal side. He will never in a million years live up to the level of Harry.
I want to get the new Sacred Steel album, I just bought a few from there back catalog. Also does anyone have the October 31 cover of Jag Panzer?
Unfortunately I don't have AIM, but I do use MSN every now and again. I'll add you to my list whenever I log on again.
I heard it and think they did a great job,and Gerrit didn't "ruin the vocals" Why does everyone have to pick on Gerrit's vocals they sound Great to me and they really fit the music.
Yeah, Sacred Steel's singer is fucking terrible. I can't believe they've released like 5000 albums now...
He deifnitely not a great singer but I don't think he's as bad as everyone else says. He doesn't have much range. His vocals on the first album are the worst though.
It's not a surprise that SS cover JP song 'cause they like to do a cover of great Metal bands(Omen also) It's obviously that Gerrit can't sung like Harry but his voice don't bother me and I'm a big SS fan!
I have it. It was a bonus CD to the album Meet thy maker. A good cover of Harder Than Steel. They also did a good cover of Lizzy Borden's Give them the axe there.
