Agree to both these points. What gives with the pre-order info? I was hoping for a killer shirt bundle like they do with all the completely unworthy bands...
Gonna be bummed if this just... comes out, unheralded.

Sounds very much like it could have been something off of his solo album. Not really sure what else to think upon first listen. The vocals are fucking pristine though.

Getting strong vibes from Into Mirror Black and some tunes of Dead Heart In a Dead World. Both of these prereleased tunes are building up good anticipation for the album. So far so good, Warrel!

I hear a lot of that Operation: Mindcrime style in the leads and solos, which I'm really happy about. That type of playing seems like a lost art; the solos are like songs unto themselves. It's nothing fancy or flashy, just good songwriting.

I'm really, really happy with this album so far.

After repeated listens I'm just entranced by Warrel's vocals - his haunting melodicism has never been better! The guy was just born to sing the word "away".....

Feels like Lenny got a Nevermore influence, but maintained the core Sanctuary. Zeus did good on this.
Feels like watch the first 3 Star Wars, then the "first" 3. Kinda ties stuff together.

    WD ...Poe?

Was asking myself the same. This song is like a riddle.

Did anyone bother to reverse the end (as suggested by the lyrics) to see if it matches the reverse vocals at the beginning?

Who is Lenore (the leader of what? what's the aim?), why is she gone, why does that equal the end? Now I'm really curious about the album (the more I listen to it). It's like having a single piece of a puzzle (actually 2, but so far apart it's difficult to make them stick together) and waiting for the other ones to get the full picture.

With only these 2 pieces, it looks a bit like The Catalyst that Prototype released 2 years ago.

Damn you Warrel, I'm so curious I can't wait to search the full album for answers!

He wants you to hear it. I kept laughing in the interview whenever he kept saying "I really wish you could hear the whole thing!". Can tell he's proud of this one. From what we've heard so far, he should be!

I think I've realized why this sounds like earlier NM and why we love it so much: Warrel is allowed to sing.

Let's face it, Warrel IS NM and Sanctuary. IMO, latter NM edged out Warrel and overshadowed him with solos and complexity...not that it was necessarily a bad thing, but Warrel's voice is what made NM so great. By keeping the structures relatively straight-forward (I don't want to say "simple"), it allows Warrel to really shine.
