;) Nothing fancy just piled up some of the latest solos for my amp tests. Tell me guys if I'm on your nerves for posting my Youtube movies rather than just doing a mp3 file for you to listen.

Personally, I think you should be banned for posting Youtube videos. :loco:

Tbh they all sound great man. Though I think you could do with bringing up the level of the leads in all your clips. You got good chops dude, no need to hide behind the rhythm guitars so much!

Sick solo cover of The River Dragon Has Come, by the way.

Kinda OT, but what kinda guitar is the black one with white binding and naked ebony fretboard? Definitely my style...

my personal favourite was the roadster, perfect balance

einstein a close second, sounds like the EL34s were really working hard there.

I think saying anyone is "hiding behind the rhythm guitars," at any point. There are rhythm players, and lead players. Being a guru at either style is an incredible task to live up to, and equally as challenging in my opinion. Ola happens to be one of the few who just all out rip at the guitar :headbang:

    +1

The Roadster sounded the fattest and most present out of all of those amps for lead tones.

    Great playing, as always.

The Mesa amps suit Ola best without a doubt. Only they convey the grind in the playing adequately IMO. The EVH came close, but it's still too smooth.

I always thought the Hughes and Ketnner Triamp suited Ola's stuff really well - it's so thick and ballsy. It's a shame he never recorded any leads with it.

    thanks dude,

I think I'm digging the Elmwood solo sound the most. Just so rich and full, it's hard to judge only by these clips, you have to feel the vibe in the room.

Thanks man, I'm not sure I'll be doing any more tutorials though. There is to much work around them.

You know it's yellow right? After Effects rules ;)

The Ibanez MTM2. Yeah the looks of that guitar. Just perfect. To bad it's ass compared to my prestige guitars.

Thanks a lot Greg. I love you.

YES! that's the thing I always come back to the mesas man, just suits my playing. I really like that you have to work hard with your pick to get the best sound out of them. With for example Engl that already has a shit load of gain you can practically play a riff without picking it at all.

While the Hughes Triamp was a good allround amp, what bothered me was that it didn't have it's own sound or character. It was just a straight forward great amp but nothing more.
