Just saw this group on SNL tonight... Really struggling to find something about it that isn't completely terrible. Who listens to this stuff!?
I´m really liking this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fheYx_ZPU18&feature=related[/ame] it just took me a couple minutes to figure out there actually is a melody in it, and now it´ll never leave my head
don't think there's much wrong with the singer, but that's where it ends really.. i'm not at all feeling the guitars, their tone, or overall production of this music.
Well, it's different. Has this kinda Joan Jett on electro thing going on. I don't know, hard to describe.
I don't think it's good at all but it does seem to translate better on the record than live. Live it sounds like two 13 year olds cranking crate stacks in guitar center while some bubble gum pop plays over the PA. I bet the folks at jackson are nauseously thrilled to get the TV time.
yeah, I didn´t like the live video cause of the crappy sounding guitars, but I´m really liking the recording, and now I even like the live one. According to wikipedia, it´s "noise pop". Dammit now I´m a fan of this stuff, gotta get the albums.
Yeah The original video actually kind of sounds like a Poison The Well song You Come Before You era, if they were pop. Intredasting...
Scott Ian tweeted "SNL this week was funny with Maya Rudolph. But, "musical guest" Sleigh Bells? I'm petitioning @JacksonGuitars to take those guitars back." LOL
