Hi, I'm looking for some sludge/crust bands that are very slow and heavy, relying mostly on riffs.

Most of the crust bands I've come across are very chaotic and fast, but I'm hoping for something with elements of Doom.

I just joined this site, searched "crust" and found this old thread. I have found few bands that incorporate dbeat/crust and doom. Definitely check out Alter of Plagues - the best, IMO, at combining these styles.

I also play in a new band, Understory, that strives for a blend of downtempo melodic crust and doom: https://understorymetal.bandcamp.com/releases

I think we do this best on track 4, "Rome," and 5, "Insecurity."

    Cheers!
