When royalcarnage.com was closed.
Royal Carnage is SOT 1.5, more or less.
Interesting. Perhaps it's time for a resurection?
I don't think the RC site had ANYTHING to do with this forum being good back in the day. Let's be honest, the forum was WAY more successful than the zine (I'm not saying it wasn't a good site btw).
Great post Spaffe. I think you hit the nail pretty well.
Also, LMAO @ Guthrum's new 'tar.
I think I probably joined around the "beginning of the end" phase
Definitely soon enough to see what was so great about it, but maybe not to participate in the best times
Still better than 99% of other internet forums I've been to!
I lurked for a bit around august 2005 and started posting a little in september, I found it declined from then when the regulars had better things to do and the traffic slowed down. Remember the "there are __ people, but noone is posting" threads?
That would be flat out incorrect - there were plenty of alternative reasons why the forum had a "heyday", but the RC site and the forum discussions generated by the posting of review updates, feature updates, interview updates, etc. led to some downright excellent and memorable threads.
I seriously might be up for that, but we would need to somehow carve out a path where mandatory label promo stack reviews disappear entirely or are severely curtailed. That, more than anything else, took away the fun factor back in the day.
Yeah, it was the catalyst for many a great serious convos, side-splitting hilarity, and downright debauchery.
when we HAD to form the care crew .. bah
Lizard's passing did not help either ...
Seriously bring the site back.
someone needs to take something to the extreme.
please DO NOT post your breezy balls for all to see
I'd have to fuck a cake or a deer corpse for my genitals to be extreme
Frank, what do you plan on doing in Phoenix?!?! Find yourself a young lady to expose yourself to?
D&D. Mountains. Grand Canyon. Meteor Crater.
the farthest west I've ever been is Springfield, MO... unless San Antonio is farther
You're traveling 1500 miles to LARP?!?!
