Finally, a thread about the greatest sport in the world. Being Brazilian myself, as far as national team, that's mine (duuuh lol). We're ranked 4th now in the Fifa Rankings, although these rankings have always been a bit awkward. I have really been amazed at how Spain has been performing. I think they're favorites to take the next WC. However, if Brazil can get their team ready (with Kaka, Robinho, Ronaldinho and Pato), we may have a good chance too. As far as clubs go, I'm a Corinthians supporter (Brazil), that's my ultimate love and devotion. In Europe, I'm a supporter of Arsenal!!
Hail, my brother in soccer! EPL: Man Utd (I also like Chelsea.) La Liga: Real Madrid,Barcelona Serie A: AC Milan,Juventus Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund,Kaiserslautern Eredivisie: AJAX Brazil: PALMEIRAS Argentina: RIVER PLATE Mexico: Morelia International: 1.USA England Argentina France Germany Spain Holland Czech Rep. Croatia All hail the beautiful game!
Brasilians are actually hatched out of soccer-ball esque yolk sacks. Pelé roosts on the sacks for 14 weeks, and then life's little miracle comes to fruition.
Secondarily, I like Sao Paulo FC. That's also a tremendous rivalry! All hail the rivalry, where Iron Maiden-inspired banners are the norm in the crowd!
I coach high school soccer. Love this sport (love Football North American too) My favorite club......... Manchester United!!!!!!! the worlds best. National I have to pull for the US.
International - Sweden Italy Serie A - Inter Sweden Serie A - Halmstad BK EPL - Manchester City Player - Zlatan Ibrahimovich (Sweden and Inter Milan) Bundesliga - Kaiserslauten
International- USA with England a close second. EPL- Newcastle!!!!!! Although I also enjoy ManU because of American ownership Serie A- Inter Bundesliga- Bayern Munchen Fav Player- Alan Shearer
OK I have noticed a couple of Man U fans here (as there should be) I want to put this question out. Tevez or Rooney? Rooney is coming back from that injury here soon, and Tevez has been filling in for him and doing a better good job, however not putting up that many goals, but he makes the defense work overtime. I think they sould let both play and maybe bench the other forward(Griggs?)
oh and just in case anybody cared the team I coach played their first game yesterday, ended in a draw. 2-2
USA 2-0 MEX ESL 2-2 TNT CRC 2-0 HON Michael Bradley with 2. Knocked one in from six yards in the first half. Blasted one home from 22 yards after 90 mins stoppage time. El Salvador scored two in the final six minutes to steal a point at home. Costa Rica slapped around Honduras. Score should have been 6-0.
