    Hi everyone,

I'd like to share some free stuff here. It's raw samples that were recorded a while ago in some good studio around here.
Here is some info about the kit, mics and the other stuff from what I remember:

Kit: Sonor SQ2 (six piece kit) (http://www.sonor.com/pbas/Sonor_FE/sonor/english/kategorie.html?a-quicklink-n_katid=965)
    Mics:
    - Kick: AKG D112 (inner), Shure Beta52 (outer), Oktava LDC (outer)
    - Snare: Sennheiser MD421, Shure 59 & Audio-Techinca as bottom mic
    - Toms: All Sennheiser MD421, except floor tom: Electro-Voice RE20
    - OHs: Audio-Technica (don't know which model)
    - Room: Rode NT-1

Here are the pics where you can see how everything was miced: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1001424/berloga_sonor_photos.zip

Despite the good kit, good room and a good drummer there were one major drawback: drumheads were quite old (you can see it in the pictures), so it may be one of the reason why samples sound not so good as they can.

Here is the samples link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1001424/berloga_sonor_samples.zip (~55 Mb)

All samples placed in according folder and are grouped to .tar archive per hit. Each .tar contains close, oh and room samples for a given hit. So you can process and mix them as you want or just to trigger.

Hope you'll like it and any feedback is welcome!

    Andy

It's funny cause I just bought a D112 to complement my D6 and the more I hear examples of how it sounds and the more I wonder why the hate.
They might not sound metal or "modern radio rock" mix ready, but I think they sound really cool and somewhat natural.
They also sound very interesting on vocals but that's another story.

    >Sorry for the OT and thanks for the samples.

I don't hate D112. But I don't prefer to use it if possible, because I literally have to boost the high end about 20dB to make it snap on the metal territory, even if it's right at the beater.

    I like my D112 a lot...

Just not on kick, it's great on floor toms or bass cabs though because it's not scooped like the D6 is.

Awesome samples dude. Has anyone made these into TCI files yet? I'm in the middle of something I'd like to use these on but I can't afford the time to make the trigger instruments...

If not, I'll do it next week and post them back up here! Thanks again.
