sound card and computer for home recording

    I buy a computer because i want to star recording my stuff at home. With the computer i didn´t have problem because one of my friends help me, but he doesn´t knows nothing about sound card for recording or home studio. Can someone help me telling any model. I know some terratec motu, etc, but don´t know with one i can take. maybe at first because i don´t know to much i could take an easy one but not bad one, i mean i want to buy something that is good but not to expensive (money is nalways problem).

    Yes, you should check out the M-Audio cards. They make relatively cheap ones that are decent for recording purposes. There are also alot of other dedicated interfaces that will offer you things such as 'Instrument In' which would have its own built-in preamp etc. But expect to pay into the thousand mark for those.
